Sunderkand path is the core part of Ramayana. Also known as Sundar Kaand and Sunder Kand, this path and online puja is a detailed and vivid encounter of God Hanuman’s (incarnation of Shiva) adventures when he went to Ravan’s (King of Demons) Lanka to search for Sita (Ram’s wife).
Jambavan reminded Hanuman about the powers he had in his childhood of flying and that he still has them. The legend has a deeper meaning- where if someone is doing something good, even the Gods will give them the strength to conquer all hurdles in their path.
The story starts with Hanuman’s search for Sita in Lanka and ends with Ram (incarnation of Vishnu) and his army’s preparation to reach Lanka. The whole act is considered Sunder, or beautiful, as every act described in the episode stands upright for moral integrity and values.
